Gift Aid your Donation
Gift Aid makes an enormous difference to the WHF because it can increase your donation by just under a third.
Every £1.00 you give us will be worth £1.28 which lets us do even more work to protect these wonderful creatures.

How Gift Aid works?
Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity. It allows WHF to claim 28p back from HM Revenue and Customs for every pound you give, as long as you are a UK taxpayer.
For example
If you give £10 to WHF and "Gift Aid it" HM Revenue and Customs will add £2.80 to the value of the donation, at no extra cost to you, bringing it up to £12.80.
For higher rate taxpayers there is an added advantage in that you can reclaim the marginal rate of tax for yourself by entering details of your Gift Aid donations on your Self Assessment form.
How can I give through Gift Aid?
To start making the most of Gift Aid, simply give WHF a Gift Aid Declaration. This may be given in writing, electronically by e-mail or orally. For your convenience and for quicker administration we recommend giving us your Gift Aid declaration in writing, as the oral declaration is a longer process. Please remember that you must pay income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the amount that we will reclaim on your donations.
When did it start?
In the case of donations made by individuals, Gift Aid covers payments that have been made in the last six years, but no earlier than 6 April 2000.
